A choice of an intensive 2-hr session for either Beginners or Intermediate level photographers interested in low light and night time photography, based in London/Tower Bridge area, London.

 

Suitable for beginners or keen amateurs and also intermediate level photographers with their own DSLRs, and some Bridge, Mirrorless cameras too.

​At one main location in the London Bridge / Tower Bridge area, the After Dark Workshop introduces the basics of photography (Shutter Speed, Aperture, ISO), and illustrates how best to control these through your digital camera, with an emphasis on low light photography.

 

NB We start the workshop with a recap of the basics of photography and how they relate to long exposure / low light photography.

 

NB This workshop isn't a 'walking tour' and we're not tour guides!! We prefer to concentrate on teaching you essential techniques for low light / after dark photography, so unlike other workshops you may have come across, we won't be wheeling you around on a whistle stop tour of London landmarks. We think it's more useful to spend the workshop time teaching and practicing and explaining the approach to low light photography that you can use yourself in the future.

 

Please note that full-height tripods (not just clamps or grips) are required for this workshop. A limited number of tripods is available to hire on each workshop, at an additional cost of £12 per tripod per session (deposit also required for the duration of the workshop). If you need to hire a tripod for the session advance booking is essential.

 

Workshops normally run 5pm - 7pm, but timings will be adjusted throughout the year to keep up with sunset / twilight times! No After Dark workshops are held between mid May - Mid Aug each year.
